Refund Policy BEFORE Supplies have Shipped & Firm Booking:
If you decide to cancel your online live cargo booking for a refund BEFORE the supplies have shipped and BEFORE you receive an email from us processing your order – the full amount will be refunded minus the Stripe credit card transaction fee (2.9% + .30 of amount paid) as they don’t refund that portion back to us.
Refund Policy AFTER Supplies have Shipped:
If the supplies have shipped and you decide to cancel shipping out, the shipping supplies are non-refundable, as well as the UPS/Purolator fee that was paid to ship the supplies to you. However the ‘Reptile Express Fee’ can be reimbursed minus a $15 (+ tax) administrative fee for our time spent on planning the shipment, email correspondence as well as creating and cancelling a shipping file. The Stripe credit card transaction fee (2.9% + .30 of amount paid) also won’t be refunded as they don’t refund that portion back to us. No exceptions to this rule, as it’s a very time consuming process preparing each shipping request and adjusting our accounting papers.
Refund Policy when NO Supplies have Shipped but you’ve received a firm driver pickup/hub drop off email booking:
If you already have our supplies on hand and have booked a shipment and received a firm booking email from us but need to cancel the order: the ‘Reptile Express Fee’ can be reimbursed minus a $15 (+ tax) administrative fee for our time spent on planning the shipment, email correspondence as well as creating and cancelling a shipping file. The Stripe credit card transaction fee (2.9% + .30 of amount paid) also won’t be refunded as they don’t refund that portion back to us (if payment wasn’t via EMT). No exceptions to this rule, as it’s a very time consuming process preparing each shipping request and adjusting our accounting papers.
Handling your new reptiles after accepting the package…
We highly recommend all of our customers to not handle any of their newly acquired reptiles for a period of no less than 14 days of receiving it.
Shipping can be quite stressful on these little critters and add on top of it a new enclosure and new surroundings and you have a possibly high stressed animal.
Therefore please only add fresh water daily to the dish and offer food. No handling!
Allow them to relax. They will most likely hide a lot and tend not to be very active. Most often they are active at night getting themselves used to their new surroundings. This is an important process. Don’t disturb them.
Offering Food Before Shipping…
Please do not feed:
Snakes: 7 days prior to shipping date. This is to avoid regurgitation during transit.
Lizards: 1-2 days prior to shipping date depending on size and species. Those that are young and can’t store fat can go 1 day without food prior to shipping. This is to avoid regurgitation during transit.
Offering Food After Receiving them…
You can try offering lizards a few prey items and see if they react to it. If they don’t gobble them up, take the feeder items out and offer it the following evening.
We don’t recommend feeding lizards the very first day of receiving them. They’ll most likely be quite stressed from the shipping. So skip that day and offer food the following evening.
For snakes we’d recommend not feeding for the first 2-3 days of receiving them for the same reasons as mentioned above.
We handle it all!
All you have to do is sit back and relax!
