If shipping in extreme cold temperatures, you may want to add a 30hr heat pack with the other packs in your package.
We tend to put one or two 30hr packs in between the box and styrofoam lining. Not in the actual styrofoam with the animals. This will help heat the box.
However, if just using one heat pack to ship, we recommend using the 40hr heat pack.
We don't recommend using the 30hr by itself. |

The 40hr heat pack gets to its optimal temperature a lot faster than a 60hr would. Therefore, when the 40hr starts to decrease its heat output, the 60hr will just be starting to get to its optimal temp.
It is a very nice mesh of heating for your winter shipments. |
